Visiting & Tour

As part of the decision-making process to attend Perpich Arts High School, you might want to consider an Experience Perpich Day. If you are trying to decide which art area is the best fit for you, it can be helpful to visit in each area that interests you.

When a prospective student visits Perpich, they spend the afternoon attending classes with a current student. The host is a current student from the art area where the prospective student has interest.

Experience Perpich Days are recommended after attending an Information Session.

The Day You VISIT

If you plan to buy lunch, you can purchase a meal ticket at the front desk when you arrive. Lunch is $4.00 and exact change or small bills are appreciated.

Please dress appropriately and bring something to read in case you find yourself in a class where you cannot participate for the full block. Please also bring paper and a writing utensil.

If you are visiting in dance or theater, please bring loose clothing appropriate for strenuous movement. If you are visiting in music, you may bring any of your instruments that are easily portable with you.

Experience Perpich Day Registration

Experience Perpich Day visits are available for students 9th grade or older. Students spend the afternoon at Perpich to experience the arts classes. Please arrive at 12:30 p.m. for check-in. The school day is done at 3:30 p.m. Register at the link below.

While we offer full tours of the school and dormitory during our Information Sessions, we recognize that not all families and students are able to attend on those specific dates. If you can’t attend an information session, you may take an individual tour that lasts about 45 minutes. These tours are offered on request. Please contact admissions to set up a time for your tour.

“Perpich is the best school for me because it provides a diverse student population, artistic environment, and academic opportunities that can't be found anywhere else in the state.”

Literary Arts Student from Plymouth

“My teachers encourage me to push myself outside of my comfort zone and to always strive to better my art, never settling for good enough.”

Theater Student from Sartell

"For 17 years I’d carried the bulk of my children’s education myself. Sending the two oldest away to Perpich was a huge step of faith and I have not been disappointed. The teachers, in particular, have been fabulous!"

Perpich Arts High School Parent

"[Perpich] was a hugely formative experience for me and I think gave me many of the tools to get to this point of doing meaningful work that I love."

Andrew Edman (Visual Arts 2005)

“From the moment I came to Perpich, it was like a college campus, with an emphasis on independence and finding your own self, with training in academics and becoming an artist.”

Trent Ramert (Theater 2020)
